STR; United States hotel leads in the world open as construction activity decline

HENDERSONVILLE, TENNESSEE – The US is leading the world in new hotel and indoor space during Q1 2021, according to a long list of global data from STR’s AM: PM platform. At the same time, national construction activity continues to decline compared to pre-epidemic levels. In three months, the U.S. opened 220 units for 26,057 rooms.
