ALEXANDRIA, VIRGINIA – The World Trade Organization (GBTA) is grateful for updated guidelines from the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) that people with complete immunity can resume travel with minimal risk to each other. As part of the much-anticipated update, the CDC decision also eliminates some of the trials and tribulations for travelers with complete immunizations. “Today’s decision by the CDC is a great boost for business travel in the US and around the world,” said Suzanne Neufang, President of GBTA. “From all traffic, we are seeing a great readiness to travel, especially among travelers who have been vaccinated against COVID-19. We will continue to work with global leaders, business decision makers, our 9,000 strong team worldwide, and those with a lot of money across the board to challenge and work well to make it happen. Let business travelers return to the road when they are ready. As part of the updated guide, the CDC says that as long as coronavirus is well regarded as a cover – the guidelines of GBTA continue to be fully supported – people who are vaccinated enough to travel to the United States do not have the testing for COVID-19 before or after self-assessment.
