Friedrich Ebert Stiftung Scholarships are a scholarship program that offers financial support to exceptional students with limited financial opportunities or who come from families with a migration background; Germans and overseas international students who wish to undertake Bachelors, Masters or PhD studies in German universities or technical colleges.

Scholarship Worth/Inclusions

The scholarship award is worth up to €744 that’d be given to eligible or qualified applicants monthly.

Also, up to €300 – which all scholars can freely use – is provided every month as a monthly flat-rate study fee. Eligible applicants may also receive up to €71 and long-term care insurance of up to €15 per month, this of course, is dependent on the applicant’s situation.

Scholars with children can receive up to €155 monthly family allowance. The scholarship also covers subsidies for tuition fees, travel expenses and international health insurance.

Applicants for basic Bachelors and Masters degree courses must have;

• Confirmation of study place or certificate of enrollment at a state or state-recognized German university or technical college for the course for which they want to be funded

• First-year students (Germans and foreign students with education) must apply before or at the beginning of the first semester

• Foreign applicants must also demonstrate sufficient German language skills

PhD funding applicants must have;
